Ashley House provides holistic care tailored to meet the needs of elderly people with underlying health concerns, dementia and reduced mobility. 

 

Entertainment

At Ashley House, the entertainment is arranged by our Activities Coordinators who attend 5 days per week and our management team, who work with the residents and other staff members to ensure a varied selection of entertainment. For example: singers, bands, Quizzes, celebration parties and many more. All forthcoming attractions are displayed on the notice board in the main entrance hall. We provide a monthly activity programme, which is emailed to families and friends every time.

Entertainment is also arranged out-with the house, with concerts at various theatres or community centres.  The Orwell Committee regularly invite the residents to coffee afternoons and the Gospel Hall Committee invite our residents every month to their hosted Tea Event every month.  This enhancing our resident's contact with the local community.

Outings & Trips

We arrange weekly coffee trips to the various cafes and coffee shops around Kinross-Shire.  The Kinross Taxi company have provided an excellent service to our Resident's for many years, ensuring they reach all destinations safely. 

Our Lunch Club also proves popular - every month Ashley House staff escort Resident's out for lunch within Kinross-Shire.

Complimentary Therapy & Hairdressing

Complimentary therapist, Anne Winchester, has provided our Residents with massage, reflexology and nail treatments over the years and remains a popular service amongst our clients.  Sandra Tinto has provided Ashley House with an excellent standard of hair dressing every week for many years now and also remains a popular request by all the Residents.

GP Surgery, District Nurse & Pharmacy

General Practitioners at St Serfs practice, Loch Leven Health Centre, Kinross, attend Ashley House weekly to arrange a treatment plan for any residents who require medial attention. 

​

The Kinross District Nurse team attend our Care Home daily and see to any nursing needs our Residents require.

​

Boots pharmacy, Perth, have provided an excellent service for many years to ensure all medication is thoroughly checked and dispensed.

​

NHS 24 are contacted outwith surgery hours for any residents who require urgent medical attention.

Podiatry

The NHS podiatry service visit Ashley House every 14 weeks for routine check ups.  Also, we have many private contacts who attend to the Resident's podiatry requirements promptly and with full interest.

Dentist & Optician Services

Broxden Dental Practice provide our resident's with routine dental check ups within Ashley House, making it easier to receive treatment on a regular basis.

Vision Call also provide eye screening within Ashley House regularly throughout the year and provide us with full treatment care plans.
